Going home by sea route

Few years back when I was younger and the seeds of going home started sprouting and interest in sea kayaking (Inspired by The Happy Isles of Oceania: Paddling the Pacific by Paul Theroux), plans were made to pack up and ship everything by container, travel to Oman and hit the sea at Ras Al Jinz (Turtle Beach) in a Klepper and row 939 km in a straight line to Dwarka light house. Probably break a kayaking record and get into the record books in the process or die trying.

That was few years back. All plans got shelved due to business loss. Age has caught up now. Wisdom developed further. Self confidence dwindled. Dwarka light house is still 939 plus distance from Dubai to Ras Al Jinz away.

Back to the drawing board!
